About the role
The Boutique Assistant supports the execution of the client experience strategy in boutique, aligning with Maison Values such as Open-mindedness, Curiosity, Generosity, Sharing, Respect, Rigor, and Independence. The role focuses on creating exceptional client experiences through hospitality, fostering brand loyalty, and delivering on Cartier’s promise of emotion. The Boutique Assistant ensures seamless and memorable client journeys while maintaining boutique standards and enhancing client development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Build extraordinary client experiences through hospitality excellence, promoting a warm and welcoming boutique environment that aligns with Cartier Values.
- Assist the boutique team front-of-house and back-of-house with activities such as appointment preparation, client entertainment, product presentation, sales finalization (e.g., running product, gathering sales accessories, gift wrapping, food & beverage service).
- Support sales associates in setting the stage for impactful client discovery and pre-appointment browsing.
- Manage boutique traffic flow and the daily appointment booking tool (RDV) and queue as needed.
- Enhance the boutique environment by maintaining visual standards of wrap rooms and Client Services areas, replenishing daily needs for sales and hospitality areas, and supporting order processes and storage organization.
- Provide high-level client treatment and personal services, including directions, restaurant reservations, entertainment requests, and floral orders, and create supporting materials as needed.
- Assist with phone duties, including incoming calls, message retrieval, and appointment setting for inquiries.
- Handle quick service requests and personalization, such as complimentary services (strap changes, watch sizing, steam cleaning, cord changes, engraving, embossing).
- Participate in daily boutique setup and breakdown for opening/closing.
- Partner with the Operations Coordinator to manage stock maintenance of non-sellables.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Understand and comply with security and operational procedures, staying current on industry news, local/global competition, and community connections.
- Strive for operational excellence in the boutique environment.
- Uphold Cartier standards in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor, contributing to a positive and productive boutique environment.
- Leverage personal and team savoir-faire to foster a collaborative network both in-person and via telephone.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in luxury retail, service, or hospitality is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with technology; MS Office experience required; SAP knowledge preferred.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of prolonged standing, walking, and frequent bending or kneeling.
- Ability to lift/move up to approximately 45 lbs.
- High energy, physical stamina, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Mobility: Extensive standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Strength: Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items (often up to 45 lbs.).
- Flexibility: Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to frequently climb stairs while moving between areas (e.g., multi-level locations).
- Comfortable working in tight or confined back-of-house spaces.
- Ability to safely handle and work with glassware during hosting and service operations.

Pay
Expected hourly range: $24 to $25 (overtime eligible). Salaries are negotiated based on relevant skills and experience. This position is payrolled through a third party.
