About the role
The Boston office of Reed Smith is seeking a Mid-Level associate to join the Labor & Employment group. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience with employment-related litigation and advice and counseling, including employment/separation/restrictive covenant agreements, wage/hour work (e.g., classifications, general compliance), leave of absence and policy review. Prior experience supporting corporate transactions is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and defense of employment-related litigation
- Provide legal advice and counsel on employment matters
- Review and advise on restrictive covenants, separation agreements, and other employment documents
- Assist with wage/hour compliance issues and classification reviews
- Support clients with leave of absence and policy review
- Support corporate transactions as needed
Requirements
- Active member of the Massachusetts bar
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
