About the role

The Boston office of Reed Smith is seeking a Mid-Level associate to join the Labor & Employment group. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience with employment-related litigation and advice and counseling, including employment/separation/restrictive covenant agreements, wage/hour work (e.g., classifications, general compliance), leave of absence and policy review. Prior experience supporting corporate transactions is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and defense of employment-related litigation
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on employment matters
  • Review and advise on restrictive covenants, separation agreements, and other employment documents
  • Assist with wage/hour compliance issues and classification reviews
  • Support clients with leave of absence and policy review
  • Support corporate transactions as needed

Requirements

  • Active member of the Massachusetts bar

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

  • Strong analytical and research skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
