About the role

The Booz Allen Hamilton Ventures team manages a $300M corporate venture capital fund, focusing on sectors like Defense Technology, Data Science, Space, Quantum, and Deep Tech, with a focus on early-stage companies from Seed to Series B, and follow-on rounds.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the deal review process, including financial modeling, competitor and market scans, customer and investor interviews, and technology reviews.
• Negotiate with investment targets.
• Identify and source strong investment opportunities in key focus sectors, and review a high-volume of inbound pipeline to triage relevant opportunities.
• Perform in-depth research to support new and existing investment thesis development, including producing written research/analysis, sector presentations, white papers, and investment memos.
• Manage internal pipeline and portfolio management tools and contribute to internal-facing reporting on portfolio health and investment theses.
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams, such as legal and accounting, through deal processes.
• Support commercial engagements, such as pilots, between portfolio companies and Booz Allen Hamilton.
• Develop relationships with relevant founders, VCs, and corporate executives, along with key internal stakeholders, to support new investment and portfolio management activities.
• Extend Booz Allen Hamilton Ventures' reach in key communities by hosting and attending industry events and producing written or audio/video content, such as podcasts.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or with a technology company.

Experience conducting financial analysis, financial modeling, valuation assessments, and investment diligence activities.

Experience evaluating technology companies, startup business models, market opportunities, and competitive landscapes.

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating stakeholders across cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of venture capital investing, startup ecosystems, and emerging technology markets.

Ability to communicate effectively with founders, investors, executives, and technical stakeholders.

Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information to support business and investment decisions.

Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs.

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
