Boom Truck Operator - Nationwide
Position Summary
The Boom Truck Operator position is critical to a successful drill crew. Boom Truckers at Tri-State can do it all, to keep the crew moving efficiently by moving material and tooling to where they need to be and exactly when they are needed. We are seeking individuals who have some experience in a Boom truck and want to learn how to take it to the next level by learning the Tri-State Drilling method. We use boom trucks to their full potential like no other company in the industry can. The position travels the US from Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, to New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and beyond.
About the Role
This position involves hands-on work at active construction sites, primarily outdoors and exposed to a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind. You will operate in environments with uneven terrain, heavy equipment, and ongoing construction activity. The position requires physical stamina, awareness of surroundings, and the ability to follow safety procedures at all times. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. You should be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, adapting to changing site conditions, and communicating clearly with crew members and supervisors. Flexibility and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Operate a boom truck crane to lift and position drilling tools, casings, rebar cages, and other heavy materials
Safely load and unload equipment from trucks and trailers
Maneuver loads into precise positions at drilling sites
Transport materials (steel casing, augers, concrete forms, etc) to and around the job site
Aid in staging materials for drilling crews
Handle rig components during setup and teardown
Drive the boom truck to and from job sites
Cookordination with site foreman for lift planning and sequencing
Adapt to tight or uneven job site conditions
Support for drilling crew work
Work closely with drill operators and laborers during foundation installation
Occasionally assist with rigging and signaling
Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement
Must be 21+ years old for interstate CDL travel
Willingness to travel during the workweek (company pays per diem and travel expenses)
Experience around heavy equipment is a plus but not required
Strong decision-making skills and a proactive mindset
Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to safety
Ability to pass company-paid background check, drug screen, and DOT screenings
