About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized QuickBooks Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping activities. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, reconcile accounts, and support month-end reporting. This role requires strong QuickBooks experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, customer payments, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
- Enter and categorize financial transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accounting records are up to date.
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting.
- Prepare financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections as needed.
- Maintain vendor files, customer records, and supporting documentation.
- Support tax preparation by organizing financial records and working with external CPAs or tax advisors.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
