Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Track job costs, budgets, and project-related expenses across multiple active construction projects.
- Process subcontractor invoices, purchase orders, and lien waivers.
- Prepare progress billings, retainage documentation, and support month-end close.
- Maintain subcontractor compliance documentation, including W-9s and insurance certificates.
- Generate financial reports and support year-end activities with outside accountants.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate job costing and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with at least 2 years in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of job costing, construction accounting, progress billings, and lien waivers.
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable in a project-based environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (Contractor Edition preferred); experience with Sage or Foundation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Standard Hours
Standard hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
