Bookkeeper
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensuring financial records are accurate, current, and properly organized.
- Process vendor invoices, prepare payments, and maintain accounts payable records in a timely manner.
- Create customer invoices, track incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support accounts receivable activities.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Absorb and analyze billing administration by reviewing charges, verifying details, and maintaining supporting documentation.
- Use Microsoft Excel to organize financial information, track activity, and assist with account analysis.
- Collaborate with internal team members to support smooth accounting workflows and help maintain compliance with company procedures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, including substantial exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
- Experience completing bank reconciliations accurately and consistently.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for tracking, organizing, and reviewing financial data.
- A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented and dependable approach.
- Prior experience in construction, contractor, or a related operational environment is helpful.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong experience across payables, receivables, billing, and reconciliations, along with confidence using and ERP system and Excel.
