Book Editor (Freelance), Reedsy
About the role
We’re looking for talented book editors to help authors bring their books to life. We welcome experienced professionals in editorial assessment, developmental editing, copy editing, proofreading, query letter review, or book coaching. As a freelance editor on Reedsy, you'll collaborate directly with authors in the genres of your choice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver work that meets a high professional standard.
- Understand your client's needs and guide them through the editing process with your knowledge of the industry and their genre.
Requirements
- 3+ years of editing experience.
- Experience working with traditional publishers.
- Demonstrated experience on at least 5 published books that are well reviewed (and available on Amazon, Google Play or Apple Books).
- Experience working for a renowned publishing company or a history of high-quality work with a bestselling author/book will be positively valued.
