BooFest Actor 16+

About the role

Be the not-so-spooky and whimsical faces that staff our hay mazes, candy trails, family-friendly attractions, and themed zones during Boo Fest. This is a daytime-shift position with flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children and families inside our family-friendly attractions and zones
• Transform into friendly creature costumes and take on character roles such as fairies, sprites, scarecrows, or witches
• Greet and interact with the public at special park functions while maintaining a friendly character persona
• Create a family-friendly, positive experience for guests of all ages
• Wear assigned makeup, masks, costumes, prosthetics, and other costuming materials as necessary
• Operate small props and follow directions from attractions leadership
• Keep escape routes and work locations clean
• Remain in character at all times

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to perform in an enclosed costume with limited sightlines
• Specific height and weight may be required for proper fit in certain costumes
• Must have a good attitude, appearance, and participate as a team member
• Must be able to cooperate well with other staff and comply with Six Flags policy and standards
• Must be available for rehearsals/training starting in early September
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be professional, self-motivated, able to multi-task, and have an enthusiastic attitude
• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
• Must work a flexible schedule including daytime hours, weekends, and holidays

Other Functions

• All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole
