Job Responsibilities
- Affords assessment, management, and outcome evaluation for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborates with physicians to formulate treatment plans and follow-up strategies.
- Writes prescriptions for medication, blood tests, diagnostic studies, and therapeutic measures.
- Requests consultations from other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Evaluates and interprets study/test results and relays relevant information to collaborating physicians.
- Facilitates implementation of therapeutic plans aligned with the patient's healthcare needs.
- Participates in multidisciplinary conferences and ensures comprehensive care.
- Manages symptom-related side effects during oncological treatment.
- Assists with admissions and works collaboratively with others.
- Maintains oversight of the survivorship program and clinic.
- Shares clinical expertise with professional and supportive personnel.
- Documents and reports patient care accurately and promptly.
- Works effectively with others and collaborates across disciplines.
- Promotes evidence-based nursing practice and clinical research.
- Adapts to varied schedules rotating between inpatient and outpatient services.
- Maintains professional certification and actively participates in educational conferences.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirement
- APRN: Master of Nursing degree from an accredited institution, current Kentucky APRN licensure, national certification as an Adult, Emergency, Family, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, current DEA certificate without restrictions, CPR and BLS current.
- PA: Current Kentucky and/or Indiana licensure and/or certification as a Physician Assistant, professional experience in a subspecialty preferred, current ACLS/BLS required.
