Bone Density Technologist - Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Perform bone densitometry (DXA) scans in accordance with established protocols.
  • Accurately position patients and operate densitometry equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Cultivate daily quality control and calibration of DXA equipment.
  • Analyze scan results and ensure proper documentation.
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in RIS/PACS or EMR.
  • Adhere to radiation safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program is required.
  • Experience in bone densitometry or diagnostic imaging is preferred.
  • ARRT (R) certification is required.
  • BLS Certification (American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’) - AHA approved required.
  • Bone Densitometry (BD) certification is preferred.

  • Understanding of DXA technology and osteoporosis.
  • Strong patient care and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate imaging equipment.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
