Boltmaker Operator

Essential Functions

• Meet daily production and quality goals.
• Utilize measurement devices to verify parts meet quality specifications.
• Identify proper tooling sequence using a Bill of Material (BOM).
• Complete set up operation of each aspect of the machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Secure raw material when required.
• Operate and become proficient on different types of boltmaking machinery.
• Record production activities and machine performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure safety standards are met.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong mechanical ability.
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Good math skills; able to interpret metric and standard dimensions.
• Ability to retain and apply technical information from machine manuals.
• Able to multi-task.
• Identify and use several different hand tools.

Education

• High school diploma or GED, a plus, but not required.
• Successfully complete a 6-month training process (train on 1st shift for up to 6 months, then switch to 2nd shift).

Experience

• Experience with operating progressive presses is a plus, but not required.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift and/or maneuver up to 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours and endure frequent climbing, twisting, and turning.
• Flexible to work overtime, as needed.
• Non-climate controlled work environment.
