Boiler Technician (Omaha 3rd Grade Engineer License)

Responsibilities

• Monitor, adjust, and maintain operation of a variety of plant equipment.
• Address work areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, potable water, steam distribution, boilers, water systems and pumping systems.
• Proficient in multiple skill clusters including basic electrical, electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Previous experience, special training, and formal education in a mechanical capacity preferred.
• Work in a floating schedule, open to working different shifts as required.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Able to understand and follow technical and training manuals.
• Document and keep records of logs and readings.
• Attend meetings concerning the boiler, hot water system, filter, and air compressors.
• Willing to assist engineers and contractors with projects.

Requirements

• City of Omaha 3rd Grade Engineer's License.
• One year of maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program.
• Must have PSM experience.

Physical Requirements

• Willing and able to push/pull/lift 75 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, and reach.
• Climb up and down stairs and ladders.
