Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair activities on boilers, piping systems, burners, HVAC units, and associated facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform alignments, adjust operating parameters, and implement corrective actions.
- Complete preventative and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
- Perform mechanical rebuilds including dust collection systems, gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, and hydraulic cylinders.
- Maintain service and repair logs and communicate equipment issues and recommendations as needed.
- Conduct environmental and facility checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Support minor building maintenance activities.
- Afford support Engineering and Facilities projects, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote safe work practices and comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
- Follow LGESMI cleaning procedures during downtime, including cleaning designated equipment and surrounding work areas.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support operational goals.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and proactively identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
- Manage time effectively, prioritize workload, and complete assigned tasks within established timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Vocational Certificate in Boiler Operations, Industrial Maintenance, HVAC, or related field preferred.
- Associate Degree in a technical discipline preferred.
- Relevant equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Experience: Level I: 1–3 years of industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, boiler operations, or related experience.
- Level II: 3–5 years of industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, boiler operations, or related experience.
- Level III: 5+ years of industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, boiler operations, or related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and maintenance independently.
- Demonstrated expertise in boiler systems and facility equipment.
- Experience mentoring, training, or leading maintenance activities preferred.
