About the role
This position provides 24/7 operations and maintenance functions for the facilities' physical plant equipment located within the Heat plant structure.
Responsibilities
- Operation and maintenance of high pressure steam boilers, coal, natural gas, and diesel, DCS, PLC’s
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of all process fluids entering and leaving the steam plant
- Maintain plant cleanliness
- Troubleshoot and repair to restore proper operation of plant machinery
- Drive, test, and maintain diesel powered emergency electric generators
- Maintain grounds area surrounding building
- Drive state vehicles as part of the work assignment
- Snow removal
- Answer phones from building tenants during 2nd and 3rd shifts
Requirements
Required:
- At least four (4) years of work experience in high pressure boiler operations performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
- Valid Stationary Engineer License “A”, ASOPE or equivalent
- Full pre-employment criminal background check
- Valid non-restricted Colorado driver’s license
- Available for shift work, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year operation
- Available for call back to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay and/or without interruption
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Four (4) years of related education, formalized apprenticeship program, or experience in high pressure boiler operations performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
- Stationary Engineer License “A”, ASOPE, or equivalent
