Description of Responsibilities and Objectives
- Maintain & Repair Boiler Equipment:
- Perform frequent inspection checks and regular/routine maintenance on boiler systems, related valves, gauges, piping, and other equipment.
- Inspect water, gas, and other fluid levels inside boilers and related equipment making adjustments to fluids as necessary to keep systems operating at peak levels.
- Repair and address concerns with piping, valves, and other boiler machinery as needed.
- Perform hourly audits of gas readings, feed water tests, water softener system, and other inspections as needed or required.
- Keep the mechanical room(s), related facilities, and work areas clean and organized at all times.
- Maintain the industrial air compressor system by performing hourly audits and inspections, making adjustments as needed, and communicating any abnormal findings immediately.
- Safely operate a wide variety of power tools and hand tools.
- Perform all activities in a safe manner and report any safety concerns immediately.
- Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments or functions as required and/or assigned.
- General Maintenance Support:
- Complete work orders as assigned and provide appropriate documentation of work orders through a computerized management system.
- Documentation of work orders should include root-cause-analysis logic with clear explanation on what was done to resolve the issue.
- PMs should be performed thoroughly with detailed information as to the state and condition of the equipment.
- Time spent on work order as well as spare parts used should also be noted.
- Complete detailed documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicate with the Maintenance team as well as the Production team on status of work orders through regular communication.
- Follow company policies and industry regulations:
- Demonstrate adherence to the Deli Star Cultiv8 philosophy.
- Follows specific Safety, OSHA, USDA, SQF and GMP regulations.
- Work autonomously without constant direct supervision but with an understanding that assistance is always available when and if needed.
- Seek out additional training and growth opportunities in an effort to become a subject matter expert.
- Absorb and communicate any variances in the standards or set-points to their immediate leadership team and/or Director of Operations.
- Ensure all vendors/guests are properly signed in and following company policies and procedures.
- Communicate clearly to those outside service entities our concerns or failures we are experiencing and be a point of contact so that the issues are resolved quickly, safely, and with a sense of urgency.
Qualifications
- City boiler certification required (support available to obtain certification if not currently held).
- Associates degree preferred but not required.
- High School diploma or GED with 2-3 years of appropriate practical experience working with industrial boilers.
- Possess a high level of mechanical skills and aptitude in areas such as but not limited to: Electrical troubleshooting (high and low voltage), Utilities such as domestic water, natural gas, HVAC, and compressed air, Instrumentation/HMI clients, General understanding of facilities maintenance, Process understanding.
- Ability to excel in a team environment. Self motivated, good organizational skills and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines promptly.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills required with basic understanding of Google Office & use of RedZone application as part of role; training will be provided.
