About the role
This role is built for experienced BOH leaders who know how to run a kitchen and work a station at the same time. You’ll be fully integrated into the line while also owning leadership responsibilities like coaching, quality control, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Work a station every shift — this is a hands-on role where you’re part of the line, not separate from it
- Lead the flow of the kitchen in real time by managing ticket times, communication, and team positioning
- Cook and serve food at a station, demonstrating by example
- Coach and develop BOH team members on the line, reinforcing recipes, standards, and efficiency
- Ensure all food meets Dish Society specs for quality, consistency, and presentation
- Support ordering, inventory awareness, and product management to keep the kitchen set up for success
- Open or close the kitchen using established systems, ensuring readiness, cleanliness, and organization
- Maintain strong food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Partner with FOH leadership to ensure a smooth service and strong guest experience
- Step into leadership moments naturally — solving problems, supporting the team, and keeping the kitchen moving

Requirements
- An experienced BOH leader — you’ve led shifts or teams in a kitchen before
- A working leader — you don’t just direct, you lead from the station alongside your team
- Calm, focused, and decisive under pressure
- Highly reliable and accountable — your team knows they can count on you
- Detail-driven — you care deeply about food quality, cleanliness, and consistency
- A coach — you naturally teach, support, and elevate the people around you
- Comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays — you understand the rhythm of the industry
- At least 18 years old with strong kitchen experience required

Pay
This is an hourly leadership role based on experience. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
Schedule
Role is typically scheduled 45-50 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs. Open availability is strongly preferred, including a mix of AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
