Boeing Summer 2027 Internship Program (Paid) - Communications Intern

About the role
The Boeing Communications team is seeking candidates for a summer internship in Washington, DC, St Louis, MO, and Washington state. Candidates will support Boeing's communications priorities through corporate, business, and program communications. Interns will contribute to internal and external communications deliverables, assist with communications plans and branding strategies, and represent Boeing at community-facing events.
Responsibilities
- Support and collaborate with Communications, Boeing Global Engagement team members, business unit and functional team members, including leadership.
- Write, edit, and develop messages, stories, speeches, website and social media content, videos, and provide event management support for community sponsorships.
- Assist with the development and execution of strategic communications plans and branding strategies in support of enterprise and/or business unit goals.
- Apply advanced communications techniques.
- Support business unit and/or enterprise-wide branding initiatives.
- Be available to work some weekend days throughout the summer in support of sponsorship activations.
These positions are 100% onsite. Some may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Some positions must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required ("US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2027.
- Availability for full-time work spanning 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, social, and digital communications skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- MBA candidates or Masters in related disciplines preferred.
- Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or above).
- Previous internships, work experience, and/or involvement with student or civic organizations.
- Passion for the aerospace industry and interest in a career with Boeing.
Schedule
- 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- 1st Shift.
