Body Shop Painter

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for paint including sanding, masking, feather edging, and priming
• Mix and match paint colors to manufacturer specifications
• Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat with attention to quality and consistency
• Perform spot repairs, panel blending, and full vehicle refinishing
• Inspect completed work for color match, finish quality, and imperfections
• Buff, polish, and complete final finish work as needed
• Maintain paint booth, spray equipment, and work area in a clean and safe condition
• Follow all manufacturer repair procedures and company safety policies
• Work closely with body technicians and estimators to ensure timely, quality repairs

Requirements

• Previous automotive body shop painting experience required
• Ability to properly prep, paint, blend, and finish vehicles to a high standard
• Experience with paint mixing and color matching
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• I-CAR or ASE certifications preferred, but not required
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
