BODY PREP OPERATOR - D SHIFT (NIGHTS)

About the role

Dal-Tile is seeking a Body Prep Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will monitor the flow of raw materials through the body prep process, perform quality control checks, and ensure the smooth operation of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Unload raw materials from railcars and transport them to storage bins.
• Load raw materials into hoppers.
• Monitor the flow of material through ball mills and into spray dryers.
• Perform tests to ensure body materials meet specifications and document results.
• Monitor equipment and processes, reporting problems to supervisors.
• Follow standard operating procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to routinely work at heights requiring fall protection.
• Good oral communication and listening skills.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Working Conditions

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles.
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
• Noise level is usually loud.
