About the role
The Body Care Buyer plays a crucial role in the Apothecary department, focusing on skincare, haircare, bath, oral hygiene, and other natural personal care items.
Responsibilities
- Purchase and maintain stock for body care categories, ensuring adequate inventory levels and product rotation.
- Maintain visually engaging and brand-aligned displays in all assigned sections.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and signage consistency across the department.
- Track and log special orders and fulfill customer requests with care and urgency.
- Collaborate with vendors and Apothecary leadership to identify new products, manage samples, and negotiate promotions.
- Stay current on natural body care trends and bring innovation into product selection.
- Train team members on new products, usage, and benefits to enhance customer support.
- Follow all health, sanitation, and safety standards as well as Plum Market procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in purchasing, merchandising, or relevant retail roles (6+ months preferred).
- Strong product knowledge in natural body care categories.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Apps and the ability to adapt and learn new software solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform essential duties, including standing and walking up to 4 hours without a break, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and pushing/pulling carts up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

Pay
