Bodily Injury Claims Representative

Responsibilities

• Investigate and handle bodily injury claims and associated property damage claims of moderate to high complexity, including coverage, liability, and damages.
• Deliver superior customer service through strong verbal and written communication.
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses.
• Help determine coverage and liability (who’s at fault for the damages).
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs.
• Set timely, adequate reserves in compliance with the company reserving philosophy.
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers.
• Demonstrate an ownership attitude, analytical thinking, and accurate decision‑making.
• Utilize personal computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ensure all operations align with Traders’ mission and direction.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of related work experience.
• 1+ years of prior experience as an auto claims representative or equivalent experience.
• AIC or CPCU designation or equivalent insurance coursework preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an adjuster license in required states.
