Boat Sales & ATV Consultant

About the role

The Boat & ATV Sales Consultant assists customers in making informed buying decisions for boats and ATVs through selling and customer service activities.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
• Engage customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
• Meet with potential customers to determine their boating and/or ATV needs and provide necessary information for informed buying decisions.
• Maintain current product knowledge using resources such as product brochures, internet, and training meetings.
• Stay aware of advertised items, pricing structures, and promotions.
• Adhere to selling skills training and direction.
• Work cooperatively with the Service Department for seamless customer delivery.
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and personal information.
• Prepare the showroom daily to ensure proper signage, cleanliness, and presentation of products.
• Generate and manage leads and prospects in the CRM tool, including entering new customers and documenting follow-up activities.
• Participate in special events such as Boat Shows and Parking Lot events.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately during the selling process.
• Meet or exceed individual monthly sales goals based on employment status, schedule, and historical sales.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
• Friendly and professional communication with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate computer systems and Point of Sale register systems.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stands for extended periods.
