About the role

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, on-call team that supports vessel operations around the clock in the fast-paced maritime industry.

Responsibilities

  • Attend vessels and handle all operational matters in line with GAC’s Quality Management System.
  • Respond to inquiries and support principals with professional, timely communication.
  • Cook up vessel arrivals with port personnel, including pilots, tugs, line handlers, terminal operators, and government authorities.
  • Manage all communications during vessel activities, keeping principals, owners/operators, and port personnel fully updated.
  • Prepare and complete required documentation, including government forms and company reports such as the Statement of Facts.

Requirements

  • YOU MUST LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES and near the Philadelphia, PA AREA IN ORDER TO APPLY.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant work experience preferred.
  • Maritime experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills.
  • Capable of following up and completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to function independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to perform primary job functions unsupervised and in accordance with the SOPs.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to think and respond quickly to customer service issues.
  • Eligible to work in the United States (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident).
