About the role
This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, on-call team that supports vessel operations around the clock in the fast-paced maritime industry.
Responsibilities
- Attend vessels and handle all operational matters in line with GAC’s Quality Management System.
- Respond to inquiries and support principals with professional, timely communication.
- Cook up vessel arrivals with port personnel, including pilots, tugs, line handlers, terminal operators, and government authorities.
- Manage all communications during vessel activities, keeping principals, owners/operators, and port personnel fully updated.
- Prepare and complete required documentation, including government forms and company reports such as the Statement of Facts.
Requirements
- YOU MUST LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES and near the Philadelphia, PA AREA IN ORDER TO APPLY.
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant work experience preferred.
- Maritime experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills.
- Capable of following up and completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to function independently and as part of a team.
- Must be self-motivated and able to perform primary job functions unsupervised and in accordance with the SOPs.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to think and respond quickly to customer service issues.
- Eligible to work in the United States (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident).
