About the role

This position involves handling all operational matters related to vessels and principal interactions, coordinating with various port personnel, and ensuring compliance with GAC policies.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to vessels and handle operational matters in accordance with GAC guidelines.
  • Respond to all inquiries and manage operational matters involving principals and prospective principals.
  • Cook up and execute necessary documentation, including government-required forms and company-related documents.
  • Coordinate arrival of vessels with port personnel, including pilots, tugs, line handlers, terminal operators, and governmental authorities.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant work experience preferred.
  • Maritime experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Soft skills: communications, adaptability, leadership, etc.
  • Organizational skills: manage multiple vessel calls and client accounts simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving: calm and resourceful when disruptions arise.
  • Adaptability: comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Customer service orientation: genuinely committed to delivering a responsive, professional experience.
  • Team collaboration: works effectively across GAC offices, agent networks, and internal teams.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant work experience preferred. Maritime experience is also preferred.
