About the role

This role is responsible for developing and optimizing embedded graphics solutions on multi-core platforms, leveraging technologies such as OpenGL and DEOS. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of processor, memory, and cache architectures, with expertise in analyzing shared resource utilization and system performance across CPUs, GPUs, and other hardware components. They will perform Worst-Case Execution Time (WCET) analysis, accounting for resource contention and interference from I/O subsystems, GPUs, SSDs, FPGAs, and other shared resources to ensure deterministic real-time performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize embedded graphics solutions on multi-core platforms
  • Leverage technologies such as OpenGL and DEOS
  • Analyze shared resource utilization and system performance across CPUs, GPUs, and other hardware components
  • Perform Worst-Case Execution Time (WCET) analysis
  • Account for resource contention and interference from I/O subsystems, GPUs, SSDs, FPGAs, and other shared resources
  • Ensure deterministic real-time performance
  • Conduct WCET analysis with interference considerations
  • Monitor shared resource usage
  • Understand monitoring mechanisms for shared resource usage
  • Compute WCET
  • Work with DEOS or similar real-time operating systems, including cache partitioning and resource isolation techniques
  • Have familiarity with FAA AC 20-193 guidance for multi-core processor certification and experience with Epic DEOS

  • In-depth knowledge of shared memory access across multiple cores, including GPU interaction
  • Understanding of monitoring mechanisms for shared resource usage
  • Experience with DEOS or similar real-time operating systems, including cache partitioning and resource isolation techniques
  • Familiarity with FAA AC 20-193 (FAA guidance on multi-core processor certification)

Qualifications

  • Strong fundamentals of multi-core processing concepts and system-level behavior
  • Strong understanding of shared resource monitoring and analysis
  • Experience with performance counters, Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms
  • Knowledge of regulatory knowledge, such as AC 20-193

Skills and Experience

  • Graphics Core Skills: Embedded graphics development experience using OpenGLEpic DEOS experience - preferred
