Responsibilities
- Run the control board for live and prerecorded programming
- Take FCC Transmitter readings
- Run Emergency Alert System (EAS) tests
- Maintain ensuring proper audio levels, transitions, and compliance with broadcast standards
- Load, schedule, and manage on-air programming content within the WideOrbit automation system
- Review audio content for technical accuracy, sound quality, and adherence to station and client specifications prior to airing
- Monitor and address issues with on-air programs for mistakes such as missed satellite cues, silence, etc.
- Screen live listener phone calls
- Edit programs from local clients/churches as well as station initiatives and programs
- Record daily voice tracks for all stations in the market as directed
- Provide production coverage and fill in for other production staff or station personnel as operational needs arise
- Auxiliary duties may include assisting with studio organization and routine maintenance of production areas
Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of audio production and broadcast systems
- Familiarity with Wide Orbit automation system and FileZilla FTP software site preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Adobe Audition
- Vocal clarity and clear diction
- Attention to detail and proactive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
