About the role
The Finance seat on our board is for someone who can help manage the organization's finances. This includes reading and analyzing budgets and financial statements, asking the right questions, identifying potential risks, and ensuring the organization is financially healthy and ready for grants. While a background in accounting isn't necessary, comfort with nonprofit financials and the ability to help build sound financial practices are essential.
Requirements
- Lived experience with ADHD, Autism, or dual diagnoses, or a deep understanding of these communities through work or relationships.
Qualifications
- Comfortable with nonprofit financials
- Ability to identify and mitigate financial risks
- Experience managing budgets and financial statements
- Strong communication skills to discuss financial matters with the board and stakeholders
