Board Certified Sr Medical Director - Immunology (Rheumatology Exp Preferred) - Remote Based
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Board Certified Sr Medical Director - Immunology (Rheumatology Exp Preferred) - Remote Based to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will provide senior medical leadership across immunology-focused clinical studies, with a strong emphasis on medical oversight, study integrity, and cross-functional decision-making. The ideal candidate will partner closely with project teams, clinical sites, and safety stakeholders to support high-quality execution of complex trials. This position also contributes to protocol development, training, feasibility, and medical input on proposals and study conduct. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight as a primary contact for assigned clinical studies
- Support drug safety and pharmacovigilance initiatives with medical input
- Design and develop clinical study protocols and amendments as required
- Deliver training to project teams and clinical site staff on therapeutic areas and protocols
- Contribute to patient identification, informed consent review, and site feasibility assessments
- Lead medical responses in proposals and defend project bids
- Mentor project staff and ensure compliance with therapeutic area principles
Qualifications
- Board certified in a relevant medical field, with specialization in immunology or rheumatology preferred
- Extensive experience in clinical study oversight and direct medical monitoring
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
- Proven ability to develop clinical protocols and other study documents
- Demonstrated experience in providing training and mentorship to clinical teams

Pay
$146,000 – $332,000 annually
