About the role
The Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) at Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. (NCYF) will support the development, implementation, and refinement of programmatic and individual behavioral supports for clients with social, emotional, and behavioral health needs.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and refinement of programmatic and individual behavioral supports for clients with social, emotional, and behavioral health needs.
- Function as a specialist whose expertise increases the capacity of all team members to effectively provide behavioral support to clients.
- Function as the primary interventionist in the modeling of data collection, conducting assessments, and formulating individual treatment plans.
- Develop and implement assessment tools to conduct functional behavior assessments and analyses when appropriate, and develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
- Provide ongoing support and create and present training workshops to direct support professionals and other individuals in support roles.
- Meet as needed with supervised staff to discuss ongoing client issues and provide support as necessary.
- Develop behavior plans/treatment plans for all clients with a focus on teaching and other strategies for reducing problematic behaviors, as well as providing crisis intervention as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director of Residential Services.
Requirements
- A Master's Degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis; Psychology; Human Services; or Special Education
- Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) Certification
- Approved CORI & DCF background checks (preformed by the EEC)
- Approved driving background check
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
