About the role

At Children’s Specialized ABA, part of the Children’s Specialized Hospital Autism Center of Excellence, you'll serve as a critical bridge between our clinical teams and Spanish-speaking families. This role ensures caregivers receive guidance, education, and partnership in their native language to confidently support their child's progress. While maintaining a small caseload, a significant portion of your work will focus on providing family guidance sessions, helping remove communication barriers and strengthen engagement in treatment. This position is approximately 70% remote, with availability required Monday through Friday until 7:00 PM to support supervision needs during peak service hours.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary clinical resource for Spanish-speaking families, providing ongoing family guidance, caregiver coaching, and support in their preferred language.
  • Build strong relationships with caregivers to increase engagement, understanding, and consistency in implementing ABA strategies across settings.
  • Conduct family guidance sessions focused on skill acquisition, behavior reduction strategies, caregiver training, and progress toward treatment goals.
  • Partner closely with each client's primary BCBA to ensure treatment recommendations, clinical updates, and behavioral strategies are effectively communicated to families.
  • Bridge communication gaps between families and clinical teams, ensuring caregivers fully understand treatment plans, recommendations, and progress updates.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings and ongoing client needs.
  • Conduct behavioral assessments, reassessments, and clinical reviews as needed.
  • Monitor client progress and analyze treatment data to guide clinical decision-making and treatment modifications.
  • Provide supervision, support, and clinical guidance to Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, physicians, and internal partners to support positive client outcomes.
  • Ensure clinical documentation, treatment plans, supervision, and family guidance activities meet regulatory and payer requirements.
  • Maintain availability for evening supervision and family support through 7:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to conduct clinical conversations, caregiver training, and documentation-related discussions in both languages.
  • Experience providing caregiver training, family guidance, and parent coaching within ABA services.
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Completion of BCBA supervision training.
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of NJ.

Benefits

  • Relocation support for out-of-state candidates.
  • Caseloads that support both quality care and healthy work-life balance.
  • Access to clinical support and resources, including a Training and Development team for initial and ongoing support to RBTs and BCBAs.
  • QA team support on medical necessity, report writing, and ensuring client progress.
  • Paid time off, paid holidays, and paid sick time.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.
  • Comprehensive benefits including free medical (employee coverage + buy-up options), dental, vision, short-term disability, and critical illness coverage.
  • Free $50K life insurance policy.
  • Free Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Free CEUs and quarterly CEU reimbursement.
  • Employee referral bonus program.
