Brivana Health is a new ABA therapy practice founded to serve children with autism and their families across Virginia. We provide individualized, evidence-based care built on close family collaboration and dedicated insurance support, so families can focus on their child's progress instead of navigating the system alone. As a growing practice, our first BCBAs will play a foundational role in shaping our clinical program, mentoring our RBT/therapist team, and setting the standard for the quality of care we deliver.

About the role

Brivana Health is hiring multiple Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to lead clinical case management for children receiving ABA services in-home and in the community across Northern Virginia. You will design and oversee individualized treatment plans, directly supervise our team of ABA/RBT therapists, and partner closely with families throughout treatment. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build the clinical foundation of a new company, with a clear path to a Clinical Director role as we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments, functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and skill-based assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS) for new clients.
  • Design, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans based on assessment data.
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision of RBTs/BT therapists, including required supervision hours, competency evaluations, and ongoing coaching.
  • Monitor client progress through data review and graphing; adjust treatment plans based on outcomes.
  • Conduct parent/caregiver training sessions and maintain regular, collaborative communication with families.
  • Write timely, insurance-compliant progress reports, reassessments, and treatment authorizations.
  • Ensure all documentation and service delivery meet BACB ethical guidelines and Virginia licensure requirements.
  • Participate in case conferences, interdisciplinary coordination (e.g., with speech/OT providers, schools), and crisis/behavior consultation as needed.
  • Help establish clinical policies, training materials, and quality standards as one of Brivana's founding clinicians.

Requirements

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB).
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) with the Virginia Board of Medicine, or eligible to obtain licensure before start date.
  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder in home, clinic, or school settings preferred.
  • Strong understanding of insurance-funded ABA service requirements (authorizations, medical necessity documentation) preferred.
  • Reliable transportation for in-home/community visits across the Northern Virginia service area.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort partnering directly with parents and caregivers.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Pay

  • Base salary: $65,000–$100,000/year, commensurate with experience.
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus (paid in two installments: at 90 days and at 6 months).
  • Performance/productivity bonus potential of up to $8,000/year, tied to billable hours and client outcomes.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Retirement plan.
  • Paid time off (PTO) plus paid holidays.
  • Company-paid professional liability (malpractice) insurance.
  • Annual CEU stipend (~$750–$1,000) plus paid time for required continuing education.
  • BACB recertification and Virginia LBA license renewal fees covered.
  • Mileage/travel reimbursement for in-home and community visits.
  • Flexible scheduling and manageable caseloads (caseload size capped to protect quality of care).
  • Laptop and materials/assessment kits provided.
  • Direct input into clinical protocols and growth path toward a Clinical Director role as Brivana expands.

Final benefits offering is subject to company policy and may be adjusted.
