About the role

As a Business Office Assistant, you are responsible for assisting the business office operations ensuring that systems of internal control are in place and operating satisfactorily to safeguard facility assets. You will help ensure that cash flow is maximized, that company accounts receivable targets are met, and that invoices are tracked and processed in an accurate and timely manner. You will assist as a financial liaison between corporate departments and other staff (accounting, reimbursement, etc.), helping to maximize the effectiveness of the company’s audit and compliance efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in business office operations to safeguard facility assets through internal controls
• Maximize cash flow and meet accounts receivable targets
• Track and process invoices accurately and timely
• Serve as a financial liaison between corporate departments and staff (accounting, reimbursement, etc.)
• Support audit and compliance efforts

Requirements

• 1-2 years of accounts receivable or accounts payable experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding and ability to implement healthcare reimbursement and billing principles
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a long-term care billing position or similar role
• Experience with PointClickCare
