Position Details
Location: Valrico, FL
Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
Schedule: Twelve (12) hour shift 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday (or until the last patient leaves) with two days on, then two days off rotation. This will include every other weekend (Weekend Differential may apply)
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance to providers during patient examinations, procedures, treatments, and x-ray/imaging services.
- Collects and processes patient histories, conducts routine laboratory procedures, prepares specimens for laboratory transport, and follows up on test orders, reporting results to providers and patients.
- Ensures the maintenance of patient education materials, oversees the upkeep of medical equipment, and orders necessary clinical supplies.
- Creates and maintains patient electronic medical records (EMR).
- Complies with all relevant regulatory agency guidelines.
- Supports both front and back-office operations, performing other tasks as directed.
- May need to travel to other sites based on patient volume and clinic requirements.
- Capable of working extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- BLS Certificate within 30 days of hire.
- Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO) certification.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of medical equipment operation and maintenance.
