Responsibilities
- Deliver superior levels of equipment and departmental service and support while keeping up with preventative maintenance (PM) to adhere with consistently high compliancy standards
- Administer safety checks, upkeep, and installations of biomedical and communications equipment
- Identify and preserve supporting technical literature, such as reference standards and other documentation pertinent to the biomedical program’s success
- Keep team up to date on newfound developments by giving presentations to small groups and provide hands-on training regarding biomedical equipment and electrical safety
- Partake in new equipment assessments, purchases, and setting up
- Review FDA, ECRI and/or other device recall and issue sources to identify if any of the covered equipment is malfunctioning, review incident reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, Associate’s degree is desired
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience executing repairs and preventive maintenance on both universal and particular biomedical equipment; GE PCS/Telemetry knowledge is highly desired
- Licenses and Certifications: - Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) and/or Military (DoD) Biomedical Equipment Technician certification
- Vendor and manufacturer (OEM) repair/training certification(s) or comparable qualifications
Work Schedule Requirements
- Standard Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm (8-Hour Day, Split Shift)
- Potential after hours, weekend, and holiday work
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $30-$ 35/hour pay rate
