About the role
Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly. Following a checklist to inspect critical parts of vehicles such as hoses, belts, fuel systems, tires, brakes, and other potential trouble areas.
- Using hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers to work on small-scale parts
- Using power tools like pneumatic wrenches to remove bolts quickly when needed
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and repairs on automobiles and light-duty trucks
- Follow service and repair procedures, and understand specifications
- Operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, friendly attitude and customer-service mentality
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
- Pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of automobiles and light-duty trucks
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Basic math skills, computer literacy, and ability to read technical materials
- Ability to learn new technology, service, and repair procedures
- Experience operating electronic diagnostic equipment is a plus
