About the role

Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly. Following a checklist to inspect critical parts of vehicles such as hoses, belts, fuel systems, tires, brakes, and other potential trouble areas.

  • Using hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers to work on small-scale parts
  • Using power tools like pneumatic wrenches to remove bolts quickly when needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and repairs on automobiles and light-duty trucks
  • Follow service and repair procedures, and understand specifications
  • Operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, friendly attitude and customer-service mentality

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of automobiles and light-duty trucks
  • Effective analytical and communication skills
  • Basic math skills, computer literacy, and ability to read technical materials
  • Ability to learn new technology, service, and repair procedures
  • Experience operating electronic diagnostic equipment is a plus
