About the role
Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and functioning properly. Follow checklists to inspect critical vehicle parts such as hoses, belts, fuel systems, tires, brakes, and other potential trouble areas. Use hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers) for small-scale repairs and power tools (e.g., pneumatic wrenches) for efficient bolt removal.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test vehicle systems and components for proper operation.
- Follow detailed checklists to examine hoses, belts, fuel systems, tires, brakes, and other critical parts.
- Perform repairs and maintenance using hand tools and power tools.
- Learn and apply new technology, service, and repair procedures.
- Operate electronic diagnostic equipment (preferred but not required).
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver’s license.
- Positive attitude and customer service mentality.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of automobiles and light-duty trucks.
- Effective analytical and communication skills.
- Basic math skills, computer literacy, and ability to read technical materials.
- Aptitude for learning new technology and repair procedures.
