About the Role
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation required in the system.
Applicants will be considered for shifts and hours posted and must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.
Responsibilities
- Read and write where required
- Use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
- Lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis and work on your feet for 12 hours
- Complete all required training for the job
- Communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs
Requirements
- A minimum of 1-year industrial-related maintenance experience and/or technical certifications
- Working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools
- Ability to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture
- Willingness to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
