About the role
This role focuses on operating and maintaining blow mold machines to produce plastic milk bottles, ensuring product quality and workplace safety while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Sets up monitors and adjusts multiple blow mold machines to ensure safe and accurate molding of plastic milk bottles.
- Identifies potential defects and makes adjustments via HMI screen and physical modifications to maintain adherence to specifications.
- Performs visual inspection of all plastic milk bottles for defects.
- Adheres to all company safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Operates machinery and equipment safely and reports any hazards, near misses, injuries, or accidents immediately.
- Actively participates in safety trainings and drills.
- Maintains cleanliness in work areas to prevent accidents.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of all safety protocols.
- Demonstrates awareness of surroundings to ensure own safety and the safety of others.
- Accomplishes work assignments and prioritizes tasks using available resources and policies.
- Collaborates effectively with managers, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
- Carries out assigned tasks, communicating progress and relevant information.
- Identifies and suggests ways to address improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates adaptability and willingness to learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity through related action plans and the Open Door Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.
Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $24.20 – $30.30. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
