About the role
Meadow Gold Dairy, a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), is seeking experienced Blow Mold Operators to maintain, break down, and set up equipment and machinery, troubleshoot operating issues, and process finished or raw materials while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Operators will collaborate across departments to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced dairy manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor conveyor lines for damaged bottles
- Operate bagger and debagger stations
- Troubleshoot and implement minor repairs of blow mold equipment
- Train others on blow mold operations
- Maintain open communication with departments, management, and employees to address efficiency concerns
- Document all required information in accordance with SOPs
- Analyze process and equipment performance data to improve quality and throughput
- Identify opportunities for process improvement using a continuous improvement mindset
- Report food safety and quality issues to management immediately
- Maintain safe working conditions and comply with state and federal health and safety regulations
- Follow DFA’s good manufacturing practices (GMP) and corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Must pass pre-employment screenings, including drug, background, and criminal checks
- Ability to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a wet environment with potential exposure to dust, fumes, and cleaning chemicals
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, occasional weekends, and holidays
Pay
$26.82 per hour, increasing to $29.80 within the first year.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM start time.
