About the role

Provide instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards that align with district state and federal requirements guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district and state standards.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance educational programs.
• Engage students in learning activities and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with special needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in education.

Requirements

• Valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligibility to obtain an alternative teaching credential.
• Knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.

Qualifications

• Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention covering appropriate grades.
• Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement required for teachers who teach retained grade 3 students.
• Proof of meeting the Early Literacy Endorsement requirement must be uploaded as an attachment to the application.

Middle and High Schools: 7:10am-3:10pm.
