About the Role
This position involves manufacturing blood products and samples, including processing units, scanning, creating transfusable components, and leukoreducing.
Responsibilities
- Achieve quality and production targets while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Manage inventory throughout manufacturing and distribution.
- Perform data entry and operate computer programs related to production, labeling, and sample management.
- Analyze visual inspections and departmental information to meet deadlines.
- Conduct complex manufacturing tasks such as pooled product processing, freezing, washing, deglycerolizing, and pathogen reduction.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and volunteers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing settings preferred.
- Strong computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and decision-making ability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Physical & Additional Requirements
- Standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- May work in refrigerated environments.
- Wearing protective clothing as needed.
