About the Role

This position involves manufacturing blood products by processing units received from donors, including scanning, creating transfusable components, and leukoreducing. You will ensure quality and productivity goals are met, maintain accurate documentation, and perform inventory management throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards and documentation accuracy
  • Manage inventory effectively during manufacturing and distribution
  • Perform data entry and operate computer systems related to component production and sample management
  • Conduct visual inspections and analyze information to make informed decisions
  • Perform complex manufacturing tasks such as pooled product processing, freezing, washing, deglycerolizing, and pathogen reduction
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and volunteers
  • Maintain flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 2 years of experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and good decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team

Physical Requirements

  • Standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Working in refrigerated environments with protective clothing
