Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm with flexibility; 40 to 45 hours per week. Minimal weekend and holiday work required. Weekly attendance incentive offered.
Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicle to grower farms to spray vaccine on live chickens
- Record and maintain all required data as directed
- Mix vaccine and load supplies for transport
- Weigh product, pull blood samples, and cook fat samples; prepare for delivery
- Sanitize vehicle and equipment
- Perform vehicle inspections
- Load and unload trays of product by hand
- Adhere to all Tyson Foods policies, including Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines
- Perform other housekeeping tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Must report to work promptly and regularly
- Must take directions from management and work well with others
- Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately; react to change productively
- Must be willing to lift and handle product up to 10 lbs
- Must be willing to lift and carry vaccine backpack in excess of 75 lbs
- Must be willing to walk, climb, bend, stoop, and work at a fast pace
- Must have 6 months Operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months
- High school degree or equivalent
- Valid MS Driver’s license with no more than two moving violations; no DUI or DWI convictions ever (required to obtain and maintain Tyson Operator’s Permit)
- Must live within a 30-mile radius of the facility
- Must not own, possess, or maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl
- Must be able to work in inclement conditions
- Must meet biosecurity requirements
Skills
- Ability to communicate orally, verbally, and in writing as required
- Physical ability and endurance to carry vaccine backpack in excess of 75 lbs
- Non-DOT driver experience preferred
Pay
$17.30 per hour
