About the role

The Blending Technician executes daily blend requirements according to production schedules by manufacturing syrup batches from raw materials—water, sugar, and concentrate—while complying with company quality-assurance specifications. This role also maintains blending and product-transfer equipment sanitation, ensures system-wide quality and sanitation conformance, and receives concentrate and raw-ingredient purchase orders for the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily blend requirements according to production schedules by manufacturing syrup batches from raw materials (water, sugar, concentrate) and ensure adherence to company quality-assurance specifications.
  • Maintain blending equipment (mixers and syrup tanks) sanitation to ensure system-wide conformance to quality and sanitation standards.
  • Carry out receipt of concentrate and sugar shipments in the inventory management system.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Maintain testing, sanitation, and equipment-calibration records; input concentrate and sugar receipts into the Lab Data Management System (LDMS).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Up to 12 months of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Basic math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills and hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk the manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced food-manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and occasional weekend/holiday work based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of a laboratory environment and laboratory practices.
  • Familiarity with High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) technology.
  • Basic microbial knowledge and aseptic techniques.
  • Manufacturing experience.
