Responsibilities
The Blender will produce oil blends for various products utilizing both small and large-scale mixing and fluid-handling equipment. Essential duties include:
- Follow written instructions on the Blending Work Order (WO) to produce various blended products
- Gather raw materials needed for blending a product per work order and blending work instructions
- Prepare samples and work cross-functionally with the Quality Control Lab to gain approval before completing WO and moving the product to the next stage
- Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision
- Receive materials and place them into inventory from trucks and railcars using a computerized warehouse management system
- Utilize all material handling equipment safely, efficiently, and perform all required safety checks, and communicate the need for repairs
- Pack bulk material as required by a WO for replenishment orders
- Flexible in work schedule due to product schedule and direction changes
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Blending Manager/Lead & QC Lab
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Accept schedule and direction when there are changes in workloads
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Essential qualifications include:
- Minimum 2 years of experience blending materials using precise measurements and methods
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems on the production line as they occur
- Understanding of KPMs and manufacturing packaging line processes
- General Quality & Safety Awareness
- Understanding of Lean Principles
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Basic mathematical abilities
- Mechanical aptitude
- Forklift Operation
- Technology/Equipment: Basic Microsoft Office proficiency, Inventory Management System (JDE)
Physical and Mental Demands: Employee must have the ability to lift/carry up to 70 pounds occasionally and push/pull drums weighing up to 400 lbs. occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or use hands, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk and climb staircases frequently. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours or weekends, as business needs dictate.

Pay
Hourly, Full time (2nd Shift), Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm - 01:30 am (4 10-hour shifts) with a shift differential of $1 per hour for 2nd shift.
Schedule
Hourly, Full time (2nd Shift), Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm - 01:30 am (4 10-hour shifts) along with the ability to work some Fridays as needed.
