Blender I- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift

Job Summary

Loads Blender with weighed material and blends product to customer specifications.

Job Duties

• Requests materials from warehouse as needed.
• Inspects various product components to assure that correct and acceptable material is being used.
• Weighs product components to customer specifications and loads into blender.
• Records all lot and product code numbers on batch sheets for traceability purposes.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and blenders to company specifications.
• Completes various forms to record data.
• Reports food safety or food quality issues to an authority who can initiate action.

Work Environment

• Work is primarily done in a production setting.
• Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
• Physical Requirements:
• Stand, walk, climb stairs on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Follow all current and future safety policies, at all times.
• Participate in all safety training and pass written exams.
• Wear safety glasses, hair net, ear protection and smock at all times in the production/warehouse area of the plant.
• Report all accidents/incidents immediately to the proper person. Provide post-accident drug screen.
• Lift up to 60 pounds.
• Occasionally bend/stoop, squat, twist, push/pull, kneel and crouch.
• Occasionally reach above shoulder level.
• Occasionally climb to a height of approximately ten (10) feet.
• Occasionally carry/lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
• Occasionally use his/her legs, arms, and shoulders to push/pull items.
• Occasionally use his/her head and neck in flexing and rotating.
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Continuous be around moving machinery.
• Occasionally operate a forklift and/or powered pallet jack.
• Continuous be in factory and/or warehouse working conditions.
• Frequent be in dusty conditions and be exposed to cleaning solvents & lubricants.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Starting Pay

Blender Level I: $19.75/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.

Work Schedule

In terms of a 12-hour workday, "Occasionally" equals 1% to 33%, "Frequently" equals 34% to 66%, and "Continuously" equals 67% to 100% of the time.
