Essential Functions

• Reads and understands simple blueprints and sketches.
• Manufactures parts to blueprints and/or sketches using Operator Inspection Instructions (OII) as guide.
• Inspects parts produced as instructed by Operator Inspection Instructions (OII), teacher, set-up person, lead-person or supervisor using tools like tape measure, caliper, micrometer, protractor, and documents findings.
• Returns pattern, check fixture, and any documentation forms to proper location upon completion of production operation.
• Stacks parts, cleans machines, or performs other assigned duties.
• Operates various types and sizes of stamping presses and other machinery in a safe and efficient manner, as directed.
• Uses software programs to enter time/payroll information, job information, etc.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Graduation from high school or 18 years of age.
• Passes math measurement/blueprint test with 85% or better.
• Recent mechanical and shop experience with relevant skills and abilities.
• Knowledge of production process equipment, materials, methods, and practices.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
• Average math skills and mechanical ability.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
• Requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Uses hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Adjusts focus to see details, recognize colors, and distinguish between shapes.

Work Environment

• Exposure to weather conditions.
• Moderate noise levels in the work environment.

Compensation

Salary Range: OTC4: $20.64 - $28.89 per hour. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors including an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
