Sheet Laser Operator

Duties And Responsibilities

• Produces fabricated parts by following work instructions with the aid of nesting software.
• Has the ability to fabricate components made of stainless, galvanized, aluminum & mild steel.
• Efficiently and accurately operates laser / metal finishing equipment & CNC Press brake.
• Must be conscientious with handling of product to uphold our internal quality standards.
• Understands blue prints, reads a tape measure, uses a caliper and follows written instructions.
• Full understanding of the use of nesting software and sheet laser operation.

Qualifications

• Experience with the use of nesting software;
• Previous laser, CNC press brake fabrication experience and/or schooling required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in laser related machining skills
• Must have some understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes;
• Must possess a keen sense of attention to detail;
• Must possess the ability to operate tape measure and calipers, hand tools;
• Must be able to determine material types and gages;
• Microsoft Office proficient;
• AutoCAD experience a plus;
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, read a tape measure, follow written instructions;
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills;
• High school diploma/GED preferred

Pay And Benefits

The target hourly range is $22.00 - $24.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
