Blackjack Dealer School - Overnight

About the role

We’re hiring for Dealer School events at Hollywood Casino & Hotel. The event is scheduled for July 28th, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Final Cut Smokehouse, located at 777 Casino Center Drive, Maryland Heights, MO.

Responsibilities

• Earn up to $28.00 per hour, with an average based on a tip pool distributed among dealers each pay period.
• Available full-time and part-time positions.

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older and eligible for a valid gaming license.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a structured training program.
• Strong communication skills, fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• A passion for great customer service and building positive guest experiences.
• High energy, team-player mindset, and ability to handle challenges professionally.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate when handling chips, cash, and calculations.

Qualifications

Initial placement within the salary range is based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is just one component of our competitive Total Rewards package, which includes wellness programs designed to support team members' financial, physical, and mental well-being.

Skills

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with numbers and able to pass a basic math test during the interview. They should also have a strong understanding of table games, gaming security, and customer service protocols.

Pay

Starting salary is $15.00 per hour. Training pay is $15.00 per hour.

Schedule

Shifts are late evenings and overnight.

Training Overview

All candidates will complete:

• Two weeks of hands-on training focused on Blackjack fundamentals.
• An audition at the end of Week 2 to qualify for casino floor placement.

Opportunities Available During Event:

• Part-Time Blackjack Dealer Path: Attend two weeks of Blackjack School, pass the audition, and begin dealing shifts as a Part-Time Dealer.
• Full-Time Dealer / Supervisor (Dual Rate) Path: Attend two weeks of Blackjack School, pass the audition, and begin a Dual (Dealer/Supervisor) Role during the first 90 days: Deal 4 days/week, supervise 1 day/week, receive ongoing shadowing and mentorship as you transition into leadership.
