Blackjack Dealer School - Overnight
About the role
We’re hiring for Dealer School events at Hollywood Casino & Hotel. The event is scheduled for July 28th, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Final Cut Smokehouse, located at 777 Casino Center Drive, Maryland Heights, MO.
Responsibilities
- Earn up to $28.00 per hour, with an average based on a tip pool distributed among dealers each pay period.
- Available full-time and part-time positions.
Requirements
- Must be 21 or older and eligible for a valid gaming license.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a structured training program.
- Strong communication skills, fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- A passion for great customer service and building positive guest experiences.
- High energy, team-player mindset, and ability to handle challenges professionally.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate when handling chips, cash, and calculations.
Qualifications

Skills
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with numbers and able to pass a basic math test during the interview. They should also have a strong understanding of table games, gaming security, and customer service protocols.

Pay
Starting salary is $15.00 per hour. Training pay is $15.00 per hour.
Schedule
Shifts are late evenings and overnight.
Training Overview
All candidates will complete:
- Two weeks of hands-on training focused on Blackjack fundamentals.
- An audition at the end of Week 2 to qualify for casino floor placement.
Opportunities Available During Event:
- Part-Time Blackjack Dealer Path: Attend two weeks of Blackjack School, pass the audition, and begin dealing shifts as a Part-Time Dealer.
- Full-Time Dealer / Supervisor (Dual Rate) Path: Attend two weeks of Blackjack School, pass the audition, and begin a Dual (Dealer/Supervisor) Role during the first 90 days: Deal 4 days/week, supervise 1 day/week, receive ongoing shadowing and mentorship as you transition into leadership.
